Maelle, Languages & Travel Advisor for Belgium

After an au pair stay in the Netherlands and a one-year Working Holiday Visa program in Australia , followed by a trip to Southeast Asia thanks to the savings I'd made, I decided to take my desire to discover the world further by killing two birds with one stone: studying abroad in Scotland. During those five years, complemented by a year-long university exchange in Mexico and six months in Italy, I continued to travel extensively, mainly throughout Europe.

Maelle has a great thirst for travel which is an integral part of her life.

Having graduated at the height of the pandemic, I initially worked for an international cooperation NGO on projects in Africa and Latin America, before embarking on an eight-month trip through Canada and Latin America. It was therefore a natural progression for me to join the Languages & Travel team to advise and support you in your travel plans. My specialties? As you might have guessed: Australia, Latin America, Italy, and Scotland New Zealand, England, and Canada among other places , and to visit numerous language schools in Germany and Spain – and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

Maëlis, Languages & Travel Advisor for France

It was only once I arrived at university that I discovered all the possibilities that we have as young people to go abroad : studies, au pair programs, Working Holiday Visa… Due to a lack of resources and information, I myself was unable to go before or during my studies.

I embarked (somewhat by chance) on a Master's degree in International Mobility at the University of Caen, which allowed me to further develop my knowledge of mobility programs. During this Master's program, I was able to confirm my feeling that there is a lack of information available to young people regarding opportunities abroad. I have since traveled and realized all the benefits that travel can bring.

My goal today is to enable you and as many young people as possible to go abroad so that you don't have, like me, the regret of not having gone, whether for my studies or simply for the experience of being abroad.

In 2022, I visited schools in Dublin and Malta and I don't intend to stop there!

“My ambition is to make as many people aware as possible of the opportunity that Belgians and French citizens have to obtain a working holiday visa if they are between 18 and 30 years old. It is an extraordinary opportunity to discover one or more countries on a reasonable budget (equivalent to about 2 to 3 months of a full-time student job), while being able to self-finance your stay thanks to the many jobs available.
