Languages & Travel only offers au pair packages WITH language courses to avoid the usual pitfalls of au pair stays, which are boredom and lack of language progress.
In the demi-pair , you take English classes, participate in activities offered by the language school, meet other young people, in short, your time will be well spent!
Choose this option only if you enjoy looking after children and have already gained some experience (babysitting, playground work, scouting, camp counseling, etc.). And above all, do not trust websites that connect families and au pairs without any guarantees, prior verification, or follow-up, such as Au Pair World !
Languages & Travel, we CARE.

"Dear Anne, As we approach the final months with our gorgeous Au pair Ambre I must sadly look forward to September. We will once again welcome a Demi au pair if someone wants to join our busy home. We will really miss Ambre. She is a lovely person, always so helpful and the kids all warmed to her. Thanks for introducing her to us."

"Hello Mr. Carré, Thank you for checking in on me, it's very kind of you. I arrived safely in Ireland and everything is going very well so far! My host family is truly wonderful, I received a very warm welcome, they are lovely, and I have very comfortable accommodations. The school is also great; there are quite a few international students my age and hardly any French speakers (which is better for learning my English). The city itself (from what little I've seen so far) is magnificent, as is my neighborhood! Thank you for everything you've done for my project! Without you, I certainly wouldn't be here :-)"

"Hello, sorry for the late reply, the first week was very busy! I received a wonderful welcome from the P. family. The mother accompanied me on the bus to the school and showed me around the center on the Sunday of my arrival, which was very helpful the next day. At the school, I also received a warm welcome from the headmistress herself. The school is well located and the classroom facilities are excellent (projector, speakers, whiteboard, etc.). I'm wondering, however, if I'll really progress with only two hours of classes per week, but that's my choice. The only small point that you should mention is that the textbook and online study platform are not included in the price. (This seems to be the case with other organizations). I therefore had to pay 15 Euros for access to the website and I borrowed the textbook. (This is indicated in the "Prices" section: "Our prices") "Do not include"). Apart from that, I was surprised by the average age, which is 25-30. I thought I'd be with students my own age, like in Antwerp—it's a nice change! Another positive point about this school is that there are few French speakers, so I speak English all the time. I've only met one Belgian student so far, even though there are many students. I say this because my friends from the Marshall Plan program, who are in other schools, are with a lot of French speakers (French, Swiss, and Belgian too). It's also worth emphasizing that the bus pass is paid for by the host family (this is also indicated in our Prices section: "our prices include"). It was a pleasant surprise when I arrived to learn that I didn't have this expense, as transportation here is quite expensive. As you can see, everything is going well here, both with the host family and at the school. The city and its surroundings are beautiful. Thank you for the Followed! Have a good rest of the day
