Indeed, this formula of complete immersion with your private tutor remains THE formula that will allow you to improve your level of English in the most effective and fastest way in a bath of British culture.
The best part? You decide your program: standard with or without activities, combined with sports/leisure/cultural activities, special Halloween or Christmas, etc. Suitable for all ages (teenagers, students, adults, retirees).

Private English lessons

Private English lessons in the United Kingdom
This course package allows you to take either 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 private English lessons (60 minutes each) per week. Minimum stay is one week.
These standard courses can be combined with several hours of general activities organized by your private tutor. Since every student is different and therefore has different preferences, Languages & Travel invites you to decide for yourself the number of English lessons you want, as well as the number of hours of activities (cinema, bowling, mini-golf, cultural visits, shopping, etc.). You decide your activities as soon as you arrive! The minimum number of activity hours per week is 5.
It is also possible to simply participate in the activities. Although this option does not include any class hours, you will quickly realize that practicing the language in a natural setting with a native speaker will lead to rapid progress.
English course program + activities
During your stay with a private tutor Great Britain, You will also have the option of taking courses combined with various activities. The costs associated with the activities (entrance fees, equipment rental, transportation, etc.) are included in the programs. Not all activities are available year-round due to the weather. Some activities require a minimum age. You add as many activities per week as you like (from 5 to 20 hours of activities) which can be different from week to week.
Sports and/or cultural visits and/or excursions in addition
In addition to class and activity hours, you also have the option of including several hours of sports or excursions, depending on what's available in your teacher's area. Typically, three sports sessions or three cultural visits are offered per week.
In Great Britain , you will have the opportunity to book sessions of badminton, canoeing/kayaking, football, basketball, surfing, sailing, tennis, horse riding, golf and many other sports! Lessons will normally be given by a professional instructor, but they can also be given by a family member or by the local organizer.
Don't forget to let us know your fitness level when you register (e.g., disability, riding level, etc.). Sports activities are listed in the "Prices" section.
As for excursions , depending on the region, it is possible to plan a trip to the Harry Potter studios or Legoland as well as other amusement parks.
Other courses
Several special programs are also available: course-only (without accommodation), special stays for families, parents, or friends. Quotes available upon request .
Accommodation
You are staying with your teacher's family
For this stay with private English lessons in the UK, you'll be staying directly with your tutor. And yes, living with your tutor is certainly the most effective way to learn English! This approach will allow you to be completely immersed, both linguistically and culturally, in your new host country. You'll see that speaking English will quickly become second nature, and that's how you progress the fastest.
Most professors do not live in the city center but in the surrounding area of the chosen city. You will be accommodated in a private room with full board.
Options
Possible options for your private English lessons in the United Kingdom
• Close supervision : This is enhanced supervision for our participants under 18. It guarantees that the teacher or an adult member of the host family will be present at the home for the entire duration of the participant's stay. This option does not replace or guarantee any activities. This option is mandatory for young people aged 12 and under . It is not available for bookings that include only private lessons or only accommodation.
• Private bathroom: If you would like a private bathroom, this is possible for an additional fee (see the “Prices” section). This option is not available everywhere in the UK.
Dates
Start dates of your stay with a private tutor in the United Kingdom
This stay is available all year round. Any booking including December 24, 25, 26 or 31 and/or January 1 will incur a supplement of 150 euros per week.
From 1/01/24, all courses are booked from Sunday to Saturday .
For bookings made during the summer for private English lessons in the UK:
We cannot guarantee your reservation if it is not made at least 1 to 2 months in advance.

Transfers
Young people aged 15 or younger must book their own round-trip transfers (unless their parents are going to drive them and pick them up).
Discounts available for your English immersion stay
- A 20% discount per participant is offered if two people take the same language course or activity (excluding sports options). You must have the same level in the chosen language and register for the same dates. You will also share the same room.
- Free transfers for stays of 4 weeks or more.
- 5% discount for people aged 60 or over on all stays.
