This program is suitable for teenagers, students, adults, and professionals alike. You'll speak Dutch 24/7 with your teacher and their family. Day by day, you'll see your Dutch improve in a warm and welcoming environment!

For a summer stay , we recommend registering during the first term if possible, as this program is very popular and there are relatively few families available.

Standard courses

Languages & Travel invites you to take 10, 20, 25, or 30 hours of Dutch lessons per week. Stays are a minimum of one week.

These private Dutch lessons can also be combined with activity hours , in blocks of 5, spent with your private tutor. Languages & Travel invites you to personalize your trip by choosing the number of Dutch lessons and activities you want. Activities include, among other things, a trip to the cinema, bowling, mini-golf, cultural visits, shopping, etc., to be arranged with your tutor. You and your tutor decide on your activities as soon as you arrive! The price includes entrance fees and transportation. The minimum number of activity hours per week is 5.

An activities-only option is also available. Don't worry: although this option doesn't include any private lessons, you'll still progress very quickly thanks to the language immersion in Flanders!

Dutch program + cultural visits

This homestay program with a private tutor allows you to combine at least 10 hours of private lessons with 3, 4, or 5 cultural visits per week. You can choose your excursions from a list of suggested visits. Some examples include: the Grand-Place, the Town Hall, the Rubens House, the Guildhalls, a ride on a horse-drawn tram, etc.

Other courses

For your Dutch immersion stay in Flanders, other course options are also available: special senior (60+), course only (without accommodation).

Online courses before or after your stay (NEW)

You have the option to prepare or continue to improve with your online teacher before or after your stay.

All courses are booked from one Sunday to one Sunday .

Accommodation

During your Dutch immersion stay in Flanders, you'll be staying with a private tutor – the ideal way to make rapid progress in Dutch! You'll be completely immersed in a Dutch-speaking environment and will therefore be speaking Dutch all day long. Guaranteed results! Furthermore, this accommodation option will also allow you to forge strong bonds with your new host family, with whom you may even stay in touch afterward.

You will be accommodated in a private room with full board.

Possible options

Possible options for your Dutch immersion stay in Flanders

• Enhanced Supervision : This is a more intensive supervision option for our participants under 18. It guarantees that the teacher or an adult member of the host family will be present at the home for the entire duration of the participant's stay. This option does not replace or guarantee any activities. This option is mandatory for young people aged 12 and under. It is not available for bookings that include only private lessons or only accommodation.

• Private bathroom: If you would like a private bathroom, this is possible for an additional fee (see price section)

Dates

This stay is available all year round. Any booking including December 24, 25, 26 or 31 and/or January 1 ^will incur a supplement of 150 euros per week.

For bookings made in the summer

We cannot guarantee your reservation if it is not made at least 2 months in advance.

From January 1, 2024, stays will take place from Sunday to Saturday .

Transfers

Young people aged 15 or younger must book their own round-trip transfers (unless their parents are going to drive them and pick them up).

Discounts available for your Dutch immersion stay in Flanders

A 20% discount per participant is offered if two people take the same language course or activity (excluding sports options). You must have the same level in the chosen language and register for the same dates. You will also share the same room.
Free transfers for stays of 4 weeks or more.
5% discount for people aged 60 or over on all stays.

If you're looking for a truly effective program for a one- or two-week stay , or even longer, this program is THE ideal option: you work with your private tutor on your specific needs and weaknesses. If you have a Dutch resit exam, prepare for it with your private tutor. Practice Dutch outside of class, always with your tutor, during meals, activities, and so on.

Stays are possible all year round, during and outside of school holidays.
