Language course content

Course content is tailored to the specific needs and language level of each student, while also taking into account available time, teaching methods, and individual teacher styles. The primary objective is to enhance learners' communication skills. Through an interactive approach between teachers and students, linguistic aspects are regularly adjusted, with an emphasis on imitation and correction techniques. To achieve these goals, we rely on a team of dynamic, versatile, and fully committed teachers.

It is essential that students make a consistent effort to achieve the best possible results.

Course program

Classes begin daily at 9:00 AM and end at 1:00 PM, with regular breaks between sessions. After lunch, classes resume at 2:00 PM and end at 3:30 PM. From 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, boarding students participate in supervised study sessions, allowing them to review and apply the concepts covered in the morning.

Classes are held Monday through Friday, with each group receiving 30 hours of instruction per week, supplemented by 4 hours of supervised study. Daily attendance is monitored, and a final assessment, based on a test covering all subjects studied during the course, is administered at the end of the program.

Activities organized during language courses at Velm Castle

After classes, a variety of sports and recreational activities are offered to encourage relaxation and active participation. These activities include outings, swimming, volleyball, baseball, soccer, and other outdoor games. Their success depends largely on the commitment and enthusiasm of all participants. After the evening study session, leisure activities are also planned, such as indoor games, dances, and film or video screenings, weather permitting.

In addition to these activities, additional options can be chosen for an extra charge.

Tennis Option

(Available only during Easter and summer holidays)
We offer the opportunity to play tennis in Saint-Trond two afternoons a week (2 x 1 hour), with transportation provided. It is essential to bring your own equipment and wear appropriate clothing. Shoes with smooth, non-marking soles are mandatory for access to the courts.

Remediation Option – Academic Catch-Up
In addition to the main language course, students experiencing difficulties in a particular subject can follow a personalized catch-up program. This program is tailored to the student's specific needs and focuses on the subjects in which they are having trouble. (5 additional hours of classes per week).

The internships begin on Sunday in the late afternoon (between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.). The student takes a general test after dinner in order to allow for an initial allocation of classes.

Supplement of €75 if you stay overnight in case of an internship of 2 weeks or more.
