Ireland , and Dublin in particular, offer great opportunities to improve your English with a minimum of 4 weeks of classes and a job in the service sector.
Brexit has excluded Europeans from the British job market. Languages & Travel used to offer programs in London and Bournemouth, but that's no longer the case. Hopefully, one day a Working Holiday Visa for the UK will be available to Europeans.
Without delay, Languages & Travel naturally turned to language stays in Ireland , a proud member of the European Union which has become de facto the only European country with English as its main language.
The principle sought by L&T is always the same: to allow you to finance a long-term stay thanks to our job formula in Dublin as well as for our Working Holiday Visa programs.
Our partner school is located in the center of Dublin.
She is a member of the Association MEI and accredited by ACELS.
It welcomes students from all over the world eager to live a unique Irish experience and has developed the Dublin job formula which combines a minimum of 4 weeks of English courses followed by a job which the school coordinates (selection and placement).

Our partner school within the “Job in Dublin” program offers an English course of 20 lessons of 45 minutes each per week , from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm or from 1:45 pm to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Levels A1 to C1, maximum 15 participants per group (average of 12).
This course aims to improve the 4 language skills: speaking, listening and reading comprehension, and writing.
Your level of English, which will be assessed during a WhatsApp interview with the person in charge of the program, will determine the number of weeks of classes required before you can start working.
You will need a minimum of 25 weeks of English classes if you are a complete beginner to reach level B1 (intermediate), 16 to 20 weeks if you are at level A1 (elementary), 8 to 12 weeks for level A2 (upper elementary), 4 to 8 weeks for level B1 (intermediate), and 4 weeks for level B2 (upper intermediate) or C1 (advanced). These classes will take place before you start your job in Dublin.
Day 1 (first Monday of classes, excluding public holidays): Welcome to Dublin! English placement test + orientation tour of Dublin. You will receive a flyer with your employment advisor's contact information and the schedule of weekly meetings.
Week 1: Introduction to the job program in Dublin + work on your CV and cover letter + opening a bank account and obtaining a Social Security number
Week 2: Preparing for job interviews (how to behave, dress code, etc.).
Week 3: The job market in Ireland. How to look for a job, where to find job offers, working hours, workers' rights (or other topics)
Week 4: Meetings with employers and visits to local businesses. Job interviews and placement.
Arrival on a Sunday, departure also on a Sunday. Arrival on Saturday subject to availability.
The “job in Dublin” program is available all year round . Min. 16 weeks (min. 4 weeks of classes + min. 12 weeks of work).
Summer 2025: 2 weeks of English classes (15 hours/week) + 6 weeks minimum of work. Minimum level: ideally B2.
There is no limit to the number of weeks you can work if you wish to stay and work longer, as Ireland is part of Europe and you have the right to work and live there for as long as you like. However, you must be prepared to accept a job of at least 12 weeks .
There are no English classes on official public holidays and these are not made up (contact us for dates).

SPECIAL SUMMER 2025 PRICE: 2 weeks of English lessons (15 hours/week) + 6 weeks minimum of work: from €850 + €100 administration fees + accommodation + return travel (cheap with Ryanair)
One of our goals is to help you finance all or part of your language stay. Of course, accommodation in Dublin is expensive, and you'll need to pay upfront for English courses, lodging, registration fees, and placement costs, totaling just over €2000.
The longer you stay in Dublin while working, the better your chances of recouping your initial investment. If your goal is to improve your English, stay as long as possible on a small budget, and gain professional experience, then this program is definitely for you.
This job opportunity in Dublin is ideal for those on a budget for a long-term English language immersion program . It's also one of the only remaining options for working in an English-speaking country, given that following Brexit, you can no longer work in the UK without student, temporary, or permanent resident status.
We also offer English courses in Dublin at another partner school (without job assistance) and company internships in Dublin and the surrounding area .
For young women, there is also our au pair stay in Dublin combined with English courses, which we call the demi-pair .
And also our high-quality language courses for teenagers in Dublin .

"I arrived safely and it's great! The family is very nice and I've already made some friends."

Hi Maelle, Everything's going well, thank you :) We were finally able to stay in the same place because the owners were really friendly and since we got along so well, they agreed to let us stay under an "apartment" arrangement. I've been working for a month now on the seafront in Bray at a takeaway restaurant. I work full time and during my holidays I travel around the area, haha. In short, Ireland is very beautiful and my English has improved ;) Best regards,
