Looking for a student job in Antwerp? The unemployment rate in Flanders is at its lowest – around 3% – and many sectors, such as hospitality, are struggling to find staff. Building on the success of our other student job programs , we proposed to our partner school in Antwerp, LABS, to create a program combining Dutch language courses with a job in Antwerp .
The aim is to combine learning Dutch through immersion with practical, on-the-job experience while earning money. What better way to learn a language than to practice it in real-life situations? That's the idea behind our student job program in Antwerp.
Our partner school will correct your CV and help you with your cover letter , assist you in securing job interviews and prepare you for them, etc. - all exercises ultimately to improve your Dutch in the process.
You will always be welcome throughout your stay at our partner school to do Dutch exercises in e-learning on the school portal, to print your CV and can participate in the activities and excursions organised by the school.
Located in the heart of the university district in central Antwerp, our partner school is surrounded by restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and shops. In the main building, you'll find three or six classrooms (depending on the season), where motivated teachers deliver dynamic and engaging language courses. Students have access to a library, a kitchen, and free Wi-Fi.
After classes, you can relax in the school cafeteria and chat with your friends over coffee, or explore the city using the many public transport options available nearby.

It is your responsibility to calculate the number of hours you can work as a student while still receiving family allowances. According to the National Employment Office (ONEM), the maximum is 200 hours per quarter.
You will begin your stay in Antwerp by taking a minimum of 3 weeks of Dutch lessons (30 lessons/week). The duration of the courses will depend on your initial level of Dutch.
At the end of your Dutch course, you will start your job in Antwerp, either part-time or full-time. You can work as much as you want and when you want: during the day, in the evening, or on weekends.

"I arrived safely and everything is going great for me. I received a very warm welcome both at Rita's and at the school. The language wasn't a major difficulty for me when I arrived, which allowed me to immediately connect with Rita. The classes are fantastic and very diverse with lots of interaction, so I'm really enjoying it. As for coaching, I had my first lesson on Thursday; we revised my CV properly, and I'm now waiting to see how things will proceed. So far, it's been a great first week, and I'm very happy about it!"
