Foster families

Languages ​​& Travel personally knows several host families who offer either accommodation only, bed and breakfast, or half-board. The choice is yours.

The registration process

After registering on our site , you will be put in contact with our partner based in Amsterdam to discuss your objectives, wishes and obligations.

Following this interview, which will take place via video conference (or on site if you are already in Amsterdam), our partner will determine the feasibility of the internship based on your requirements and your field of study.

If you agree with our partner, we will then invoice you for a deposit of €500, which will be deducted from the total invoice once your company internship in Amsterdam is arranged.

Organizing your company internship in the Netherlands

Our partner will then work on improving your CV, cover letter, and any other relevant documents. They will then put you in touch with several companies that may be a good fit for your profile.

Once a company is found, our partner will prepare you for the interview with the company and answer any questions you may have at this stage.

Successful interview

If the interview is successful for both you and the chosen company, and if you accept their offer, an internship agreement is prepared and signed by both parties.

Languages ​​& Travel will then send you the invoice for the payment of the balance to be settled before the start of the course on a date that we will indicate to you.

On-site monitoring

You will receive messages at the beginning, during and at the end of your internship from our partner to ensure that your internship in the Netherlands is going well.

All year round

You decide the start date of your internship based on the dates set by your school or university, or your own timetable. Internships in Amsterdam take place year-round .

The minimum duration is 3 months and the maximum is 10 .

Costs for organizing the internship in a company in the Netherlands, from company selection to follow-up

For an unpaid internship: € 1350

For a paid internship: € 1500

The remuneration is between €200 and €800 per month.

Accommodation costs 

Accommodation with a host family

Accommodation without meals (use of the kitchen): €300 per week

Night + breakfast in a private room: €230 per week

Half-board with a host family: €280 per week

Student residence accommodation

Expect a budget of €800 / month min.
