During your language stay in Berlin, GLS Berlin can also prepare you for the TestDaF ( Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache , or "German as a Foreign Language Test"), TELC , and Goethe-Institut . The TestDaF is primarily for those wishing to study German, while the TELC is geared more towards professionals. In both cases, the format of each preparation program is quite similar: 20 standard 45-minute lessons plus 10 exam preparation sessions . You will have the opportunity to practice and deepen your understanding of the language, and then work on and develop the essential skills needed for the exam, all to ensure you achieve the best possible score. GLS Berlin is an official TestDaF and TELC testing center .
Since the start of the health crisis (coronavirus), GLS Berlin has developed online courses of varying intensity . Group courses of 20 or 30 lessons of 45 minutes per week, preparation courses for German tests, business language, individual courses or private group courses (for students from the same school, company, etc.).

It can't be stressed enough: the best way to learn a language is through total immersion. That's exactly what homestay accommodation offers. With GLS Berlin, you'll enjoy half-board accommodation (breakfast and dinner) with a private room all while living in a 100% German-speaking environment. Note that if you don't wish to have dinner with your host family, you can opt for the "breakfast with your host family / lunch on campus" option. A real bonus for those of you who prefer to be more independent.
Some people appreciate moments of peace and quiet and more independence during their language stays. For this type of traveler, homestay accommodation isn't always the best option. That's why, if you fall into this category, GLS Berlin offers 50 studios and apartments ranging from 23 to 38 square meters, complete with a kitchen, bathroom (shower or bathtub), Wi-Fi, television, telephone, and bedding, all located right on campus . A turnkey solution for independent spirits, just steps from your classrooms!

"A great experience and a quick way to improve my German language skills: they enabled me to reach a B2 level in just four months, even though I arrived as a complete beginner... That says a lot about the high level of competence of this school..."
Andrea, 07.2019
"Everything is going very well! The classes are really well taught, the campus is very pleasant and the teachers are very competent, I am progressing quickly and should reach a solid A2 level by the end of the stay. I don't necessarily participate in the activities offered by the school, however, because I do a lot of things on my own, but I know that they are very appreciated by the students in general."
