50+ program is aimed at people aged 50 and over who wish to have an enriching experience combining English learning, cultural discoveries and international encounters , in a relaxed and stimulating atmosphere.
It combines:
English lessons in the morning (adapted level)
Social, cultural and tourist activities in the afternoon
Free time on the weekend to enjoy Cape Town at your own pace
Small groups of learners of the same age
Guided tours: Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch gardens, museums, local markets, etc.
Meetings with the local community
Accommodation with a host family or in a residence (your choice)
Duration: usually 2 weeks (possibility of extension)

L&T is very careful in choosing its volunteer projects which, too often, turn into voluntourism and do more harm than good to the community.
Our partner organization is very strict about the projects it supports. The person in charge of volunteers has been personally interviewed and ensures exemplary reception and follow-up.
