With this homestay program, you'll live and learn directly in your teacher's home, allowing for personalized instruction and rapid progress in Dutch . Through a variety of activities, you can also explore the surrounding area or enjoy sports, cultural events, and leisure pursuits—all in Dutch, of course !

For your Dutch immersion stay in the Netherlands, Languages & Travel offers several Dutch course options
Private Dutch lessons
Choose between 10/ 15/ 20/ 25/ 30 private Dutch lessons (60 minutes each) per week. Minimum stay is 1 week.
These Dutch lessons can be combined with activities with your private tutor. You choose the number of lessons and activities you want! It's perfectly possible to take 20 hours of Dutch lessons one week and then 15 hours of activities (such as going to the cinema, bowling, mini-golf, cultural visits, shopping, etc.) the following week, or 10 hours of Dutch lessons plus 5 hours of activities per week. These activities will be decided jointly with your private tutor once you arrive. The minimum number of activity hours per week is 5.
An activities-only option is also available. You will then spend several hours together with your teacher, allowing you to practice your Dutch in a fun way!
Add activities to your Dutch lessons
If you wish, several hours of activities with your teacher can be added to these 5-hour sessions (cultural visits, cooking, cinema, shopping, etc.). You choose the number of hours you want! You will decide on your activities once you arrive, with your teacher. The price includes entrance fees and transportation. The minimum number of activity hours per week is 5 .

Choose from: 3, 4 or 5 guided cultural visits per week. Transport and entrance fees included.

Languages & Travel offers other course options during your stay with a private tutor in the Netherlands: course only (without accommodation), special stay for family / parents / friends .

You will be staying with your private tutor throughout your stay with a private tutor in the Netherlands.
You'll soon see that this type of stay has many advantages. First and foremost, you'll forge genuine bonds with your new host family and learn to experience a typical Dutch lifestyle! You'll therefore have a truly immersive cultural experience. Furthermore, taking lessons with a private tutor has the added benefit of accelerating your Dutch language learning, as your teacher can focus solely on your specific goals and challenges.
As already mentioned, you will be staying in a private room with full board .

Options
Several options are available for your stay with a private tutor in the Netherlands:
• Close supervision : This involves increased supervision for our participants under 18. It guarantees that the teacher or an adult member of the host family will be present at the home for the entire duration of the participant's stay. This option does not replace or guarantee any activities. This option is mandatory for young people aged 12 and under. It is not available for bookings that include only courses without accommodation or only accommodation.
• Private bathroom: If you would like to have a private bathroom, this is possible for an additional fee (see price section).
Dates
Start dates of your stay with a private tutor in Spain
This stay is available all year round. Any booking including December 24, 25, 26 or 31 and/or January 1 will incur a supplement of 150 euros per week.
All courses are booked from one Sunday to one Sunday.
For bookings made in summer : we cannot guarantee your booking if it is not made at least 2 months in advance.
From January 1, 2024, stays will take place from Sunday to Saturday .
Price
Choose the number of hours of lessons, activities and cultural visits (prices below – refresh the page if they are not displayed and ask us for a more precise quote)

Transfers
Young people aged 15 or younger must book their own round-trip transfers (unless their parents are going to drive them and pick them up).
Discounts available for your Dutch immersion stay
- A 20% discount per participant is offered if two people take the same language course or activity (excluding sports options). You must have the same level in the chosen language and register for the same dates. You will also share the same room.
- Free transfers for stays of 4 weeks or more.
- 5% discount for people aged 60 or over on all stays.
