Au pair Australia: Join an Australian family with children

Want to become an au pair in Australia ? Australia is attracting more and more young people. The main reason is the introduction of the Working Holiday Visa , which allows young people aged 18 to 30 to stay for up to one year (renewable twice under certain conditions). Other reasons often mentioned in interviews with former participants include: a fabulous country to discover, true adventure, endless roads, stunning landscapes, the climate (with the possibility of a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius year-round in Queensland, for example), and the wildlife (yes, that's where you'll see kangaroos and koalas).

Destinations

Placements are available in Brisbane , on the Gold Coast in Melbourne , and also on the Sunshine Coast . If you wish to take courses, you will need to tell us your preferred location. We will then ask our partner to find a host family in your chosen city.

Au pair Australia

Our guarantee? The main guarantee is the on-site support of our partner and the au pair family selection process.

Unlike the offers that abound on the internet and guarantee NOTHING, choosing a host family online for free represents a risk we, as youth travel professionals, would not take for our own children, especially since there is no recourse available on-site if things go wrong.

All host families had to undergo an interview and training beforehand

This is not the case with purely online websites, which themselves warn au pairs about the risk of online scams and the use of social media by so-called host families. These websites, of course, completely disclaim any responsibility in the event of a complaint and will disappear if any problems arise. A word to the wise!

• You will receive a general presentation of the family , its composition (children, ages) and generally their interests, the type of accommodation, etc.

• You will have the opportunity to be in contact with your host family before your departure.

• Pocket money : there is no pocket money given the relatively low number of working hours required, 15 hours per week .

• The contact details of our local partner should you have any questions . A website doesn't answer the phone and doesn't solve any problems… Not to mention our availability before, during, and after your stay. Our on-site team is available 24/7 in case of emergency.

Participants receive a “certificate of completion”

An au pair stay in Australia is ideal for a "soft" introduction to a new country, another culture, another language.

If you'd like to have part of your trip organized in advance, an au pair stay in Australia is definitely a good option. You'll receive your host family's contact information before you leave and can get in touch with them.

Languages & Travel tip : Start your Australian adventure with a 3 or 6-month au pair stay. Combine your Australian au pair stay with a Working Holiday Visa . After your au pair stay, embark on an adventure and discover this fabulous country!

Do not trust offers from host families that you may find on the Internet or on matching websites that guarantee nothing, have not verified the au pair families and will be nowhere to be found if there is any problem.
