Gold Coast Language Scholarships – Key Information
We are delighted to present the details of our new initiative to attract international students to the Gold Coast region. This campaign is aimed at local educational institutions as well as our network of education agents abroad.
Campaign objectives
- Encourage the arrival of international students by offering them a scholarship of 1,000 Australian dollars , in the form of financial assistance to cover various costs related to their settlement, such as visa fees, accommodation and initial expenses on site.
- This initiative contributes to the competitiveness of the Gold Coast and its economic development.
Support for international students
We understand that settling into a new country can be both challenging and expensive. Experience Gold Coast wants to ease your arrival by providing financial assistance with a grant of AUD 1,000 . This grant aims to reduce some of the costs associated with starting your language course in Australia, such as transportation and student visa fees ($1,600).
Eligibility requirements for obtaining a Gold Coast English scholarship
- Application period : from February 11, 2025 to June 30, 2025 .
- Duration of English courses : candidates must register for a program of a minimum duration of 24 weeks , including bundled offers or combined courses.
- Course start dates : studies must begin between May 1 and November 30, 2025 .
- Eligible institutions : only courses offered by Experience Gold Coast member institutions are taken into account.
- Student visa : applicants must hold a valid student visa (subclass 500) .
- Number of scholarships available : limited to 250 international students , subject to applicable terms and conditions
Application process for Gold Coast language scholarships
Step 1: Submitting applications
📅 Opening of applications: February 12, 2025 (until the awarding of scholarships, but no later than June 30, 2025 ).
- Students complete their application via the Screendoor .
- Applications are reviewed every two weeks to ensure a fair distribution of scholarships.
- An automatic acknowledgement of receipt is sent to the candidates.
- It is possible to modify the application until the deadline of June 30, 2025 .
- The Confirmation of Enrollment (COE) must be dated May 1, 2025 or later .
Step 2: Processing applications
📅 From April 1, 2025
- Successful applicants will receive a conditional approval email with the next verification steps.
- Unsuccessful applicants will be notified via Screendoor .
Step 3: Verification and disbursement of Gold Coast English scholarships
📅 From May 1 to November 30, 2025
- Students who have received conditional approval will need to go to the Gold Coast Student Hub (GCSH) to complete their verification.
- The GCSH team will provide guidance , check documents and support students through the validation process.
- Once the verification is complete, the AUD 1,000 scholarship will be paid directly into the beneficiary's bank account.
